How we lead
When God reminded Pastor Wright of her calling, He gave her two words. They shape how this house leads God’s people, God’s way.
Yielding to the will of God — His plan is always perfect, even when the assignment was not our first choice.
Doing what He says, the way He says to do it — leading God’s people God’s way, on this great and humble journey.
Meet our pastor
Shelia L. Wright
In 2019, while raising three children, God began to work on me. I had no idea that the many roles I had served in ministry — and the many lessons I had learned — would lead me to leading a church: Purposed for Destiny Ministry.
I would love to say I was jumping up and down at the opportunity, but pastoring was not my first (or second) career or life choice. Because God’s plan is always perfect, I yielded to His will and began preparing for pastorship.
I would like to say that I went to seminary, have a couple of doctorates, and sat at the feet of today’s well-known ministers. But all I have is a calling, the leading of the Holy Spirit, a love for God’s people, and the desire to do His will.
So I embark on this great and humble journey of making an impact for Christ — and I would love for you to be part of it.
